ftam_listener − invokes an FTAM listener

Syntax

/usr/sbin/ftam_listener [−q queue-length] [[−r responder] [−T trace-file]] alias

Description

The /usr/sbin/ftam_listener command starts up an FTAM listener to listen on the TSAP for the specified alias.  You can specify the queue length and the name of the responder to use when a transport connect request is received. You must specify the options in the order shown in the syntax section.

Options

−q queue-length
Is the maximum queue length for outstanding transport connect indications. This value determines the number of connect indications that can be received by and not responded to by the listener before further connect indications are rejected.  The default value is 10.

−r responder
Is the name of the responder to start when a transport connect request arrives.  By default, /usr/sbin/ftamd is the responder name.

−T trace-file
This option may only be used when the −r option is also specified.  Specifies that a trace file be created with the indicated file name. You must use the ositrace command to analyze this trace file.

application
Can be either an alias which is associated with an address listed in the /etc/isoapplications file, or an X.500 Distinguished Name.

Restrictions

You must be a superuser to use this command interactively.
