USAGE

df [ −a ] [ filesystem ...  ] [ file ...  ]

DESCRIPTION

Df prints the amount of free disk space available on the specified filesystem (e.g., node_id) or on the file system containing the named file (e.g., $HOME). 

If you do not specify a filesystem, df prints the free space of all of the normally mounted file systems on your machine.  The reported numbers are in kilobytes.  If you use the −a option, df reports information about all file systems mounted on the network.
