NAME
hostname − set or print name of current host system
USAGE
hostname [ name-of-host ]
DESCRIPTION
Hostname prints the name of the current host. The super-user can set the hostname by giving an argument. The name of the current host is set in the /etc/net/uname file for the uucp (1) name, or in /sys/tcp/thishost for the network name. This command is not needed to set the name of the host.
