PAD(4) Domain/OS BSD PAD(4)

NAME
pad - interface to processes opened on a transcript pad

DESCRIPTION
The files /dev/pad* provide a read-write interface between other
processes and shells opened on a transcript pad. Such shells typically
are opened using the Display Manager's cp (create_process) command. If
the -n (name) option to cp is omitted, it assigns the name padnn to the
transcript pad, where nn ranges from 0 to 31.

FILES
