NAME
     logname - gets the login name

SYNOPSIS
     logname

DESCRIPTION
     logname returns the contents of the environment variable
     $LOGNAME, which is set when a user logs into the system.

EXAMPLES
     The command:

        logname

     displays the $LOGNAME of the user logged into the system on
     the current port.

FILES
     /bin/logname
          Executable file
     /etc/profile
          File containing the user's login profile
