xlsclients(1X) xlsclients(1X)NAME xlsclients - lists client applications running on a display SYNOPSIS xlsclients [-display display] [-a] [-l] [-m maxcmdlen] DESCRIPTION xlsclients lists information about the client applications running on a display. You can use xlsclients to generate scripts that represent a snapshot of your current session. Options The xlsclients command accepts these options: -a Indicates that clients on all screens should be listed. By default, only those clients on the de- fault screen are listed. -display display Specifies the X server to connect to. See X(1X) for details. -l Produces a long listing that shows the window name, icon name, and class hints in addition to the machine name and command string that are shown in the default listing. -m maxcmdlen Specifies the maximum number of characters to print in a command string. The default is 1000. Environment variables The xlsclients command uses this environment variable: DISPLAY Specifies the default host, display number, and screen.
