NAME xlswins - displays the window tree SYNOPSIS xlswins [option] ... [windowid] ... DESCRIPTION xlswins displays the window tree. By default, the root win- dow is used as the starting point. You can specify a window to be used as the starting point by supplying its window ID, in hexadecimal, on the command line. Options The xlswins command accepts these options: -format radix Specifies the radix to use when printing out window IDs. The allowable values are: hex, octal, and de- cimal. The default is hex (hexadecimal). -indent spaces Specifies the number of spaces to indent for each level in the window tree. The default is 2. -display displayname Specifies the X server to connect to. See X(1X) for details. -l Generates a long listing for each window. The list- ing includes a number indicating the depth, the geometry relative to the parent, as well as the lo- cation relative to the root window. Environment variables The xlswins command uses this environment variable: DISPLAY Specifies the default host, display number, and screen.
