NAME

tigrutil: tgvm, tgsoe, tgreset, tgsog − video mode utilities

SYNOPSIS

tgvm high|low|stereo|stereo_s|ntsc|pal|stereo_q|stereo_sq
tgsoe 1 | 0
tgreset
tgsog 1 | 0

DESCRIPTION

tgvm sets the video mode of the graphics board.

"high" is the default high-resolution mode (60Hz 1280x1024 non-interlaced).  "low" is a low-resolution mode (58.1Hz 1280x1024 interlaced). "stereo" and "stereo_q" are stereo modes meant to be used with screen shutters and polaroid glasses (1280x512 or 640x512, 60Hz per eye). "stereo_s" and "stereo_sq" are stereo modes meant to be used with Stereographics glasses with built-in shutters (1280x512 or 640x512, 60Hz per eye). In stereo modes, the vertical resolution is half of the high-res mode since half the data goes to each eye. The "stereo_q" and "stereo_sq" further reduce the horizontal resolution in half to achieve square pixels.

tgsoe 1 enables stereo overlays, and tgsoe 0 disables stereo overlays the next time the video mode is set to any of the stereo modes.

tgreset resets the graphics board and sets the video mode to high.

tgsog 0 turns off sync on green.  tgsog 1 turns on sync on green.  Only to be used in NTSC or PAL modes depending on your equipment requirements.  The normal high-res monitor, used in high-res mode, requires sync on green.
