DESCRIPTION
/usr/pub/eqnchar contains the following troff(1) and nroff(1) character definitions that are not ordinarily available on a phototypesetter or printer. These definitions are primarily intended for use with eqn(1) and neqn(1). eqnchar contains definitions for the following characters:
ciplus⊕||∥square□citimes⊗langle⟨circle○wig∼rangle⟩blot■−wig≃hbarℏbullet•>wig≳ppd⊥prop∝<wig≲<−>↔empty∅=wig≅<=>⇔member∈star∗|<≮nomem∉bigstar∗|>≯cup∪=dot≐ang∠cap∩orsign∨rang∟incl⊑andsign∧3dot⋮subset⊂=del≜thf∴supset⊃oppA∀quarter¼!subset⊆oppE∃3quarter¾!supset⊇angstromÅdegree°scrLℓ==<≦==>≧
/usr/pub/apseqnchar is a version of eqnchar tailored for the Autologic APS-5 phototypesetter. If you use apseqnchar, output will not look optimal on other phototypesetters. cateqnchar is more “device-independent,” and should produce output that looks reasonable on any device supported by troff(1). You make link /usr/pub/eqnchar to /usr/pub/cateqnchar or to /usr/pub/apseqnchar. By default, /usr/pub/eqnchar is linked to /usr/pub/apseqnchar.
