    The following string can be used for parameter2 when parameter1 is a
    process variable:


      Parameter 2       | Return Value (Parameter 1 is a process variable)
     -------------------+------------------------------------------------+
     "pid"              | Integer    - Process identification number
     "buffer"           | Buffer     - The buffer associated with the
                        |              process
     -------------------+------------------------------------------------+
