astgen(1) CLIX astgen(1)
NAME
astgen - Generates and modifies ASSIST menus or command forms
SYNOPSIS
astgen name[.fs]
DESCRIPTION
The astgen command is an interactive command to generate information files
(ASCII text data files) that define a menu or command form used by the
assist command.
Both the astgen and assist commands recognize and process information
files whose names are suffixed with three characters: .fs. If no .fs
file exists for the specified name, astgen assumes that a new menu or
command form is to be created. If name is given without .fs, astgen
automatically will create the file: name.fs.
EXAMPLES
To create an ASSIST entry:
astgen plot.fs
This command interactively creates an assist entry for the plot command.
EXIT VALUES
