  NAME

domainname - Sets or displays the current NIS domain name

  SYNOPSIS

    domainname [nameofdomain]

  DESCRIPTION

Without an argument, domainname displays the name of the current domain.
Only the superuser can set the name of the current domain by giving an
argument; this is usually done in the startup script /etc/nfs. (See
nfs(8).) Currently, domains are used only by the Network Information
Service (NIS), to refer collectively to a group of hosts.

  EXAMPLES

    1. To display the name of the current domain:

        domainname

    2. To set the current domain name:

        domainname nameofdomain

  EXIT VALUES

Exit values are errnos from the getdomainname() and setdomainame()
functions. The only value that might be returned, given a correctly-
written domainname command is the following:

22 ([EINVAL]) The domain name specified is greater than 64 characters.
