    logname - Gets a login name

  SYNOPSIS

    logname

  DESCRIPTION

    The logname command returns the contents of the environment variable
    $LOGNAME, which is set when a user logs into the system.

  FILES

    /etc/profile

  EXIT VALUES

    Exit codes are 0 for normal termination and 1 if an error occurs.
