NAME
scsicfg - Displays SCSI configuration information
SYNOPSIS
scsicfg [-i additional_iops] [-q additional_quadscsis]
FLAGS
-i additional_iops
Number of IOP boards on the system in addition to the default
board.
-q additional_quadscsis
Number of Quad-SCSI boards on the system in addition to the
default board.
DESCRIPTION
The scsicfg command displays location and identifying information for
active Small Computer System Interface (SCSI) devices connected to the
system.
The scsicfg utility automatically scans the main SCSI controller and any
additional Input/Output Processor (IOP) or Quad-SCSI boards loaded on the
system. The number of additional IOP or Quad-SCSI boards can be
overridden by using the -i or -q flags, respectively.
On Series 3000 and Series 4000 systems that contain one or more slave IOP
boards, the -i flag is used to specify the number of additional boards to
scan.
On systems that contain more than one Quad-SCSI board, the -q flag is used
to indication the number of additional Quad-SCSI board to check.
The output produced by the scsicfg command contains the following
information:
IOP Shows the IOP board number if more than one IOP board is
being displayed. The values range from 0 to 3. The IOP is
not displayed for systems that do not have slave IOPs.
QS Shows the Quad-SCSI board number and channel number. The
first digit indicates the board number and ranges from 0 to
3. The second digit indicates the channel number and ranges
from 0 to 3.
SCSI Specifies the SCSI where the device is located. This value
ranges from 0 to 6.

LUN Is the logical unit number and has a value of 0 or 1. LUN 1
is usually not used.
Device Description
Specifies the class of device. The following types are
available: Magnetic disk drive, Tape drive, Printer,
Processor, WORM optical disk drive, CDROM disk drive,
Scanner, Optical memory device, Changer device (jukebox), and
Communications device.
Vendor Specifies the maker or vendor of the device. This
informaiton is provided by the device.
Controller Is a model or controller string identifying the device. This
information is provided by the device.
Firmware Specifies the version of firmware being used by the device.
This information is provided by device.
EXAMPLES
This example shows some sample output from this command. The IOPs are not
displayed since the system on which command was run does not have slave
IOPs.
