  NAME

hosts.osi - ISO/OSI network node static routing database

  DESCRIPTION

This file translates network service access point (NSAP) addresses to
physical addresses for nodes that do not support the End
    System/Intermediate System (ES/IS) protocol.

The /etc/hosts.osi file is used as input to the osid daemon, which loads
the information to the ISO network layer in the kernel where it is used to
perform static routing. Use the add(8) command to manually build this
    file.

The file contains the following four fields of information: name, NSAP,
SNPA (subnetwork point of attachment), and port number. Refer to add(8)
for a description of each field.

  EXAMPLE

The following shows a sample entry in a hosts.osi file:

    NAME NSAP SNPA PORT
