  NAME

    xvi50 - Imaging Computer card

  DESCRIPTION

    The Imaging Computer card (VI50) is used in conjunction with the EdgeII-v
    graphics board to display image and graphics data on a single workstation
    monitor. It resides with the EdgeII-v on the VME backplane of Intergraph
    6187-series workstations. The card is accessed with the Enhanced VME
    adapter card resident on the SRX bus.

    Currently, each workstation supports only one VI50 device. This device is
    referred to as channel 0.

    To PIO data to or from the VI50, use the vi50_map() function to map the
    board's registers and memory into user space and use pointers to access
    the mapped region. A currently-opened channel from the vi50_open()
    function must be specified in the call.

    To DMA data to or from the VI50, use the vi50_dma() function, specifying
    the direction of transfer and a currently-opened channel from the
    vi50_open().
