  NAME

incmond - Runs the Intergraph Network Core XNS monitor daemon

  SYNOPSIS

    /usr/ip32/inc/incmond [-l logfile] [-v]

The incmond daemon is the Xerox Network Services (XNS) monitor daemon that
executes at system startup on Intergraph workstations and servers to
service requests from the Intergraph Network Core (INC) monitor, incmon.

  FLAGS

-l logfile Logs errors to logfile.

-v Displays the version number of incmond without invoking the
                 daemon process.

  DESCRIPTION

The incmond daemon manages a periodic multicast of an informational frame
about the node's identity. This information is collected and maintained
by incmond for all Intergraph nodes on the local area network. The
incmond daemon also retrieves the node's XNS network routing database and
networking statistics maintained by the node's kernel.

  EXAMPLES

    1. The following command invokes incmond and writes error information to
        the file /usr/ip32/inc/incmond.log:

        /usr/ip32/inc/incmond -l /usr/ip32/inc/incmond.log

    2. The following command displays the version number of incmond and exits
with an exit value of 1:

        /usr/ip32/inc/incmond -v

  EXIT VALUES

After informational messages are displayed about command line usage
incmond exits with a 0; otherwise, incmond exits with a 1.
