  register(8) CLIX register(8)

  NAME

register - Intergraph X.400 Message Handling Service (MHS) registration
    utility

  SYNOPSIS

    /usr/bin/register filename

  DESCRIPTION

The register command is a menu-driven command that specifies each MHS
user's delivery directory and O/R name. This command should be run by the
MHS system administrator only. The command can also limit the size of
messages to be received by a particular user and the type of information
    the user can receive.

The system administrator should supply a register filename as input to the
utility. The default filename is register.dat. If the file does not
exist, it is created. If the file already contains registered users, the
System Administrator can add, delete, and examine information about the
    users.

The register utility inquires for the pathname of the delivery queue for
each user being registered. This pathname must be created if it does not
    already exist.

  FILES

    /usr/lib/mhs/config.dat Default MTA configuration file.

    /usr/lib/mhs/register.dat Default registration table file.

  CAUTION

The MHS System Administrator must have superuser privileges to execute
    this command.

  EXIT VALUES

After executing the register command, one of the following messages appear
    on the user's terminal:

    No table created

    New register table file created
