  setmnt(8) CLIX setmnt(8)

  NAME

setmnt - Establishes a mount table

  SYNOPSIS

    /etc/setmnt

  DESCRIPTION

The setmnt command creates the /etc/mnttab table that is needed for both
the mount and umount commands. The setmnt command reads stdin and creates
a mnttab entry for each line. Input lines have the format

    filesys node

where filesys is the name of the file system's ``special file'' (for
example, /dev/dsk/c?d?s?) and node is the root name of that file system.
Thus filesys and node become the first two strings in the mount table
    entry.

  FILES

    /etc/mnttab

  CAUTIONS

Problems may occur if filesys or node are longer than 32 characters.

The setmnt command silently enforces an upper limit on the maximum number
    of mnttab entries.

  EXIT VALUES

The setmnt command exits with indeterminate value if successful and a
value of 1 if an error occurs.
