  NAME

uucico - Runs a file transport program for uucp

  SYNOPSIS

    /usr/lib/uucp/uucico [-r role_number] [-x debug_level] [-i interface]
    [-d spool_directory] -s system_name

  FLAGS

-r The role_numbers are the digit 1 for master mode or 0 for slave mode
(default). The role_numbers should be specified as the digit 1 for
master mode when uucico is started by a program or cron.

-x A single digit must be used for the debug_level variable. The higher
the number, the more debugging takes place.

-i Defines the interface used with uucico. This interface only affects
slave mode. Known interfaces are UNIX (default), TLI (basic
Transport Layer Interface), and TLIS (Transport Layer Interface with
         Streams modules, read/write).

  DESCRIPTION

The uucico command is the file transport program for uucp work file
transfers. The uux and uucp commands both queue jobs that will be
transferred by uucico. The uucico command is normally started by the
scheduler, uusched, but can be started manually for debugging. For
example, the shell uutry starts uucico with debugging turned on.

  EXAMPLES

The uucico command is normally started by uusched.
