  NAME

    verifyipaddr - Verify Internet address or host/domain name.

  SYNOPSIS

    /usr/ip32/snmp/verifyipaddr [hostname|domain_name|Internet_address]

  DESCRIPTION

    The verifyipaddr command checks the validity of the input hostname, domain
    name, or Internet address.  If no input is supplied on the command line,
    verifyipaddr reads stdin for its input.

    This command supports the snmpconfig utility.

  NOTES

    The verifyipaddr command is not intended to be executed outside of the
    snmpconfig utility.

  EXIT VALUES

    The verifyipaddr command exits with a value of 0 if the input address is a
    valid Internet address, hostname, or domain name.  The command exits with
    a value of 1 if the input is not valid. Exit values are written to stdout.
