  NAME

    verifypid - Writes current SNMP agent process ID to stdout

  SYNOPSIS

    /usr/ip32/snmp/verifypid

  DESCRIPTION

    The verifypid command writes the current SNMP agent process ID to stdout.
    If no SNMP agent is executing, a value of -1 is written to stdout.

    This command supports the snmpconfig utility.

  FILES

    /etc/.snmp_pid   Active SNMP agent process ID lock file.

  NOTES

    The verifypid command is not intended to be executed outside of the
    snmpconfig utility.

  EXIT VALUES

    If the current SNMP agent is executing, the verifypid command exits with
    the value of 0.  If no SNMP agent is executing, the command exits with a
    value of 1.
