  vtd(8) CLIX vtd(8)

  NAME

vtd - Runs a virtual terminal remote login responder

  SYNOPSIS

    vtd [-n responder_name] [-l logfile] [-L]

  FLAGS

    -n responder_name
This optional name is the one used to find the entry for the node
in the /etc/hosts.vt table. If no name is specified, the hostname
           is used.

    -l logfile
This specifies the name of a logging file. Information as to the
time, initiating address, duration, and other information is
appended to the file for each virtual terminal (VT) association.

-L This option specifies that the vt responder was started from the
iso_listener(8) process. Thus, it must be present in the vt
responder entry of the isoservices(4) file. This must be the last
option on the line in the isoservices(4) file.

  DESCRIPTION

The vtd daemon is the responder for the virtual terminal (vt) service
based on ISO 9040 and ISO 9041. Currently, it supports the default and
    transparent profiles.

In normal operation, this program is started by the iso_listener(8)
process from the entry found in the /usr/lib/osi/isoservices file. These
examples are lines that can be entered in the isoservices(4) file.

  EXAMPLES

The following example will provide logging for all incoming associations
    into the specified logging file.

    psap/vt 2 /usr/bin/vtd -l /usr/ip32/osi_vt/log/vtlog -L

This example causes the vtd program to use the blaise entry in the
/etc/hosts.vt file. Also, logging is used.

    psap/vt 2 /usr/bin/vtd -n blaise -l /usr/ip32/osi_vt/log/vtlog -L
