INTRO(3F) COMMAND REFERENCE INTRO(3F)

NAME
intro - introduction to FORTRAN library functions

DESCRIPTION
This section describes those functions that are in the
FORTRAN run-time library. The functions listed here provide
an interface from f77 programs to the system in the same
manner as the C library does for C programs. They are
automatically loaded as needed by the FORTRAN compiler
     f77(1).

Most of these functions are in libU77.a. Some are in
     libF77.a or libI77.a.

For efficiency, the RCS ID strings are not normally included
in the a.out file. To include them, simply declare

          external f77lid

     in any f77 module.

FILES
     /usr/lib/libF77.a
f77 intrinsic function (math) and startup
                    library.

     /usr/lib/libI77.a
                    f77 I/O library.

     /usr/lib/libU77.a
                    f77 UTek system interface library.
