NAME
dumpfs - dump file system information
SYNOPSIS
dumpfs filesystem | device
DESCRIPTION
Dumpfs prints out the super block and cylinder group
information for the file system or special device specified.
The listing is very long and detailed. This command is
useful mostly for finding out certain file system
information such as the file system block size and minimum
free space percentage.
Dumpfs should be run as super-user; it needs to open the
file system for reading.
RETURN VALUE
[NO_ERRS] Command completed without error.
[USAGE] Incorrect command line syntax. Execution
terminated.
[NP_WARN] An error warranting a warning message
occurred. Execution continues.
[NP_ERR] An error occurred that was not a system
error. Execution terminated.
[P_WARN] A system error occurred. Execution continues.
