iul − indicate underlining

SYNOPSIS

iul [ file ...  ]

DESCRIPTION

This filter breaks underlining onto separate lines as dashing with ‘−’.  It is useful when you want to look at the underlining which is present in an nroff output stream on a soft-copy terminal.  A typical usage of iul would be

nroff −ms pcxin1.n | iul
