NAME
sndplay − play soundfiles
SYNOPSIS
sndplay file ...
DESCRIPTION
Sndplay reads each file in sequence and plays it on the standard sound-out hardware. The soundfiles may be of any playable type; runtime conversion is performed if possible. Emphasized formats are played with the built-in low-pass filter activated.

BUGS
For a soundfile to be playable, it must be one of the following types:
16 bit linear, 22.5kHz or 44.1kHz, stereo or mono
16 bit linear, 22.5kHz or 44.1kHz, emphasized, stereo or mono
16 bit linear, 22.5kHz or 44.1kHz, compressed, stereo or mono
16 bit linear, 22.5kHz or 44.1kHz, compressed, emphasized, stereo or mono
8 bit mulaw or 16 bit linear, 8.013kHz, mono
8 bit linear, 8.013kHz, mono, squelched
8 bit linear, 22.5kHz, mono
16 bit linear, 22.5kHz or 44.1kHz, stereo, DSP core or DSP commands
