NAME
updnode - check/correct device nodes for disks, RAID subsystems and
     tapes

SYNOPSIS
     /sbin/updnode {[-C] | -c | -u}

DESCRIPTION
updnode checks and corrects the device nodes for disks, RAID subsys-
tems and tapes under /dev/ios0. All devices displayed with the
autoconf -l command have to be created as device nodes with the
appropriate device class number (major) and device number (minor).
This means that device nodes are not checked and corrected unless they
     are listed by autoconf.

The /dev/ios1 directory is checked for reasons of compatibility. The
/dev/ios1 directory, if it exists, must be a symbolic link to
     /dev/ios0.

OPTIONS
-C All device nodes are checked. Incorrect device nodes are
displayed. In the case of tape devices, only partition 0 is
          checked.

-c All device nodes are checked. Incorrect device nodes are
          displayed.

-u All incorrect or missing device nodes are corrected or created.

NOTES
In the case of tape devices, only partition 0 is checked. The features
of tape devices and the installation of the respective device nodes
are implemented by means of tpsetup -C.

FILES
     /dev/ios0/*sdisk*

     /dev/ios0/*sraid*

     /dev/ios0/*stape*
