  NAME

mdel - Deletes an MS-DOS file

  SYNOPSIS

    mdel [-v ] msdosfile [msdosfiles...]

  FLAGS

-v Deletes the command in verbose mode. This flag echos the file names
         as they are processed.

  DESCRIPTION

The mdel command deletes a file on a formatted MS-DOS disk.
Subdirectories are supported with either the slash (/) or '\' separator.
The use of the '\' separator or wildcards will require the names to be
enclosed in quotes to protect them from the shell.

The mdel command will ask for verification prior to removing a read-only
    file.

The environmental variable MCWD may be used to establish a current working
directory (relative to the MS-DOS disk).

The environmental variable FLOPPY may be used to establish a default
floppy drive other than the device currently linked to /dev/rdsk/fl.
Valid choices include /dev/rdsk/floppy to designate a 5.25-inch drive, or
    /dev/rdsk/ufloppy to designate a 3.5-inch drive.

  NOTES

Allows multiple arguments, which does not follow the MS-DOS convention.
Wildcards are only applied to filenames, not to directory names.
