NAME
eolabel - Provides labels for erasable optical media
SYNOPSIS
/usr/bin/eolabel special volume
DESCRIPTION
The eolabel command creates labels for erasable optical media.
The special name should be the physical disk section for the entire disk
(such as /dev/rdsk/s3u0p0.0). The device cannot be on a remote machine.
The volume is the volume name used to identify the cartridge or platter to
the users and to the system. This name is used by the file system
commands when a file system on the cartridge or platter is mounted in a
jukebox. A volume name can have 1 to 16 characters. These characters may
come from the set of all character values excluding colon ( : ), null ( \0
), and slash ( / ). The volume name must be unique within a given system.
